Since landing in Oz, we’ve really got into the Aus way of life and took full advantage of all the outdoor events from going to the outdoor cinema (a favourite), to opera in the park, good vibrations festival and of course lots of BBQ’s. The latest event we took our selves to was the Taste of Sydney festival, an outdoor event, where Sydney’s top restaurants and Australian wine merchants come together offering a sample of their fine food and drink.
The festival was a great chance to try lots of new stuff, I even tried Tuna and Red Snapper – the Red Snapper was amazing and I would most definitely go to the Flying Fish, the restaurant where the dish came from! We also sampled lots of wine from local and inter-state wineries, as usual we ended up drinking way more wine than eating any food, needless to say I was a wee bit tipsy by the end of the night (no change there then!) and very wet from the torrential rain that caused the festival to be flooded and come to an abrupt end!
